SAARC an apex trade body of the region was lucky to have Mr Tariq Sayeed as its President for the year 2008-2009. Mr Tariq Sayeed is a person well known both domestically and internationally in the business circles. He has represented Pakistan and knows SAARC at many international forums.

In his tenure as president he not only reorganised SAARC Secretariat but also put in place well qualified professionals to contribute with their skills. The agenda of regional integration as enunciated but its president. He also strived to revitalise the plan of SAARC permanent HQ Building Project but getting approved its design from member countries and awarding contract for construction which will ultimately help in financial stability for this Regional parody (SAARC).
